The village of Anakao, a perfect oasis to rest in the south of Madagascar

Anakao is located forty kilometers south of Tulear, the main city of southwestern Madagascar. It is a small fishing village where the rhythm of the days is marked by the noise of the pirogues that ply the sea waters of Andavoke Bay.
The village of Anakao is divided into two parts: on the one hand, the places where you can be hosted, restaurants and bars, which are located directly on the beach; on the other, the local homes are scattered inland, to be close to the fields.

A myriad of pirogues await the departure into the sea, basking on the beach and showing off kaleidoscopic colours. The sand is white and is reflected in the transparency of the water. In the water of this sea, fish are abundant and will offer a wonderful show for snorkeling enthusiasts.
